Globe sees smartphones, social networking to propel mobile broadband growth

Globe Telecom expects demand for mobile broadband services in the Philippines to grow in line with the increasing number of smartphone users in the country and Filipinos’ penchant to access social networking sites like Facebook.

Sony Launches Project Big Switch

GCASH bags Mobile Money Transfer Award

GCASH, the flagship mobile commerce brand of Globe Telecom, reaches another milestone in the industry as it won top honors in the world’s first Mobile Money Transfer (MMT) Awards.

GCASH bagged the top award for Best International Mobile Transfer Program category for its GCASH Mobile Money Transfer Hub, an inter-operable platform that allows instant multi-language, multi-currency cross border money transfer from partner financial institutions and mobile money operators (MMO) around the world direct to any Globe mobile phone subscriber in the Philippines. GCASH shared the top recognition in this category with Western Union and won over other foreign telecommunication giants aKos and Banglalink.

 

Globe launches new look of corporate website

True to its thrust to provide superior customer experience, Globe relaunches its corporate website with a new look that allow users to have a more personalized online experience.

The new website layout uses the sentence interface “I Want” which allows users to choose from the various Globe products and services via the dropdown menu located on the homepage. From choosing a postpaid plan or a mobile phone, being updated with the latest prepaid and broadband offers, getting information on rewards programs, to viewing bills and availing of roaming services, online users are exposed to offers that are relevant to them.
