11 Sep

D-Link International, one of the world’s biggest suppliers of network products, unveils the newest model of their wireless G router series – the DIR-300. Featuring a sleek black design that fits perfectly into any household, the DIR-300 is a highly affordable dual function device. A router by default, it can also be reconfigured and used as access point to suit individual needs.

“Based on the IEEE 802.11g wireless standard, which is backward compatible with 802.11b, the new DIR-300 is both a router and access point at the same time, providing an all-in-one, convenient solution for consumers,” said Mr. George Wong, Marketing Director, D-Link International Pte Ltd. “Built-in QoS functionality ensures that the DIR-300 is capable of prioritizing data packets to improve the qualities of VoIP and real time multimedia streaming.”

Easy Management and Setup
The DIR-300 features the D-Link Quick Router Setup Wizard, which enables the quick setup of a wireless network in minutes. With an easy to follow process to new hardware and connect to a network, the Wizard configures the Internet Provider (ISP) settings to quickly establish broadband Internet connectivity. It also makes adding new wireless devices on to the network a much easier and smoother process.

Security
The DIR-300 wireless G router includes a built-in firewall that safeguards any network from harmful attacks. Additional security like the MAC address filtering prevents unauthorized network access and parental control features prevent users from viewing inappropriate content. The DIR-300 also supports WEP and WPA encryption.

The D-Link DIR-300 wireless G router is now available at authorized retail, reseller, and distribution partners.
