STI, Google, Inc. kick-off partnership in 13th National Youth Convention

STI, premier provider of ICT-enhanced education in the Philippines , recently forged alliance with worldwide web giant, Google, Inc. in the 13th National Youth Convention.

Geared towards improving education in all medium, STI and Google are now working in partnership to further enhance the education system in the Philippines . Now, with STI students, staff and faculty starting to manage their own Google mail accounts, communication and research inside the community have increased efficiency.

In the recently concluded 13th National Youth Convention (NYC), an annual innovative learning and career planning nationwide caravan of STI, Google Philippines Country Consultant Aileen Apolo served as one of the speakers. In her talk, Aileen discussed basic techniques and new applications of Google that the academe can benefit from.

The 13th NYC, with the theme “STIer: A Brand of Excellence,” began November last year in Baguio City, and has gone to Cebu, Bacolod, Kalibo, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Ormoc and was capped by a two-day event in Metro Manila. In total, more than 20,000 participants attended the event.

STI’s job placement partners e-Telecare, Convergys and the Youth Entrepreneurs Society (YES) also participated in the mini-job fair set-up for the graduating student participants. The 13th NYC is in partnership with Google, Inc. and Micro Data.
