HP is consistently ranked as among the most prestigious brands in Asia in three categories, which include multi-function copier, printer/scanner, and personal computer. It has consistently done so in all three categories since 2005.
In particular, HP enjoys a strong following in the Philippines having ranked as a Gold winner in the personal computer and multi-function copier categories. Most importantly, HP is ranked for the first time as a Platinum winner in the printer/scanner category, the highest ranking in the survey.
The survey affirms HP’s leadership in the IT business in the Philippines. Its products for personal computing, imaging and printing, and services, continue to serve the Philippine market well.
“HP is committed to investing in technology areas we believe will have the power to improve customers’ lives and businesses. Our ranking in the latest Trusted Brand survey is a testament to this commitment. Rest assured that HP will continue to improve its services to better benefit the local market,” said David Tan, Managing Director, HP Philippines.
The Trusted Brand survey covers Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Mainland China, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
Reader’s Digest has been conducting the survey since 1999, starting out as the Reader’s Digest SuperBrands. The annual survey is aimed at identifying various brands and trademarks that appeal the most to Asian consumers. To be included in the list affirms the company’s affluence among consumers where it is present, as well as to help companies pursue their goals of giving quality products and services.
The survey follows strict methodologies to ensure fairness and objectivity. The survey is conducted by noted research firm Nielsen Company, which distributes questionnaires through the monthly Reader’s Digest publication, as well as telephone interviews with random but carefully selected consumers.
Companies are rated according to their Trustworthiness, Credible Image, Quality, Value, Understanding of Customer Needs, and Innovation. All ranked companies in the different categories are given the Gold award. However, in rare cases, a company is given the Platinum award if it scores three times more than its closest competitor.
