Canon champions a new era of power, precision and zoom with Powershot digital cameras

True to the spirit of relentless innovation and the tireless pursuit of photographic excellence, CANON re-imagines the popular PowerShot series with a bold new processor, new HD recording function and even more raw power to satisfy both pro-sumers and professionals. The new PowerShot G10, SX1 IS and SX10 IS – all of which deliver smart new features with intelligent function via compact design – your proudest moments may just be a click away.

The Power of DIGIC
To make things easier for demanding shutterbugs, all three PowerShot models come with DIGIC 4 imaging processor, the newest version of Canon’s proprietary imaging technology. DIGIC 4 provides remarkably high speed rendering of fine detail, natural color reproduction, low noise and greater signal processing speed. Key technological advancements include enhanced shutter lag-time response, real-time face detection and tracking. Continuous Servo AF tracks moving objects in crystal clarity upon first pressure of the shutter button. Face self-timer captures the shot only when the photographer enters into frame, perfect for group or self-portraits without the unnecessary delays. Intelligent Contrast Correction fixes dark areas when objects are backlit or when flash distance is exceeded during and after photography and Hot Shoe for mounting a flash unit.

PowerShot SX1 IS
Built with the new DIGIC 4 processor, the PowerShot SX1 IS is also the first CANON compact digital camera to incorporate the CMOS imaging sensor (CMOS is an award-winning imaging sensor found in Canon’s EOS professional D-SLR range of cameras). Its 10 megapixel shooting supports up to A2 size prints. A leading hybrid model, it boasts a genuine, 20X Zoom lens (with lens-shift type image stabilizer) which captures 10 megapixel close-ups with stunning clarity. You’re able to shoot in 16:9 ratio (1920 X 1080, the equivalent of 35mm film) for remarkably moving pictures. Thanks to high-speed AF and high-definition AE/AWB, it offers Full HD recording. Thanks to the Ultrasonic Motor (USM) and Voice Coil Motor (VCM) systems, it also comes with a high-speed, silent and accurate drive for fast zoom and precise auto-focus. For fearless photographers and filmmakers with a knack for surprising shots, the camera lets you cast imaginative angles with a 270-degree 2.8” variable-angle LCD screen.

PowerShot SX10 IS
Similarly, the POWERSHOT SX10 IS also offers the DIGIC 4 engine, super-zoom capabilities (20X Zoom), 10 megapixel, wide-angle (28mm) compact camcorder abilities and variable-angle LCD screen. The new mov type movie recording feature also allows longer recording thanks to a higher compression ratio. With the handy Hot Shoe, SD storage and convenient 4AA-battery power option, it’s perfect for mobile professionals on the go.

Powershot G10
Last but not least, the POWERSHOT G10 is a true pro-sumer must-have. Built for power and panoramic framing with the DIGIC 4 engine, 5x optical zoom with OIS, wide-angle lens (28mm) and an amazing 14.7 megapixels, it more than replaces its predecessor, the G9, as a bonafide compact digital. Budding professionals will lap up its RAW format capability, while appreciating the generous 3-inch PureColour II LCD screen. Like the POWERSHOT SX10 IS, there’s also the helpful option of Hot Shoe function and SD storage.
