SMART Communications, Inc. Announces Plans to Launch the World’s First “Clickable” Touch-Screen Smartphone

Smart Communications, Inc. and Research In Motion (RIM), recently announced plans to launch the BlackBerry(r) Storm(tm), the world’s first “clickable” touch-screen smartphone, in the Philippines.

Designed to satisfy the needs of both consumers and business customers, the BlackBerry Storm smartphone delivers the powerful communications features, global connectivity and personal productivity advantages of the BlackBerry platform. Its SurePress(tm) touch-screen technology, which depresses slightly when the display is pressed, dramatically enhances the touch interface. The BlackBerry Storm smartphone boasts exceptional performance, a stunning display, HSPA network support, desktop-style web pages and advanced multimedia capabilities including a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording, a powerful media player and an expandable memory card slot. Availability
The BlackBerry Storm is expected to be available from Smart Communications, Inc. in June. Pricing information and pre-orders are available through the respective Relationship Managers and Account Managers of the Corporate Business and Small and Medium Enterprise Groups, starting from free with the Plan 3500.
