Canon bags Buyers Lab Awards’ MFP Line of the Year

06 May

Canon has received the prestigious Multifunctional Printers (MFP) Line of the Year Award from Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), a testing and intelligence body in the imaging industry, for its imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER COLOR multifunction printers.

Canon has also won four End of Year Pick Awards for its MFPs.

The MFP Line of the Year Award is given to products that meet the strict standards of BLI and pass the rigorous two-month laboratory evaluation. The biannual “Pick” awards, meanwhile, recognize outstanding product performances in specific categories.

Canon’s MFPs were assessed based on their reliability, productivity, image and scanning quality, ease of use, connectivity attributes, and overall value.

“As the document management needs of companies have increasingly become complex over the years, Canon has remained committed to designing highly reliable MFPs that perform consistently, simplify the end-user experience, and offer the most complete total solutions across all segments of the industry,” said BLI assignments editor George Mikolay.

BLI Research Manager David Sweetham said that Canon’s consistency in developing leading print devices propelled it to get more MFP “Pick” awards than its competitors this year.

Since 2000, Canon has been honored with six MFP Line of the Year Awards. It has also received 23 MFP “Picks” and three Outstanding Achievement Awards since 2005.

“As part of the global sphere of Canon Incorporated, we’re proud of these achievements. These BLI Awards are testaments of our continuous commitment to delighting our customers with our total business solutions,” Canon Marketing Philippines’ Director for Business Imaging Solutions, Jojo I. Bolima, said.
