HP Printers Win BLI “Picks” Awards for Top-Performing Color Printers

After subjecting a wide range of color printers and printer MFPs to a battery of rigorous lab tests, BLI has announced the winners of its Spring 2009 “Pick” awards in the color printer category, with nine products from seven vendors taking top honors for their outstanding performance in BLI testing. The tests evaluate products for a variety of important performance aspects, including reliability, image quality, productivity, print drivers, feedback to workstations, administrative utilities, ease of use, network setup, toner yield and more.

One of the companies that won awards for their high-quality products was HP, the world’s largest technology company. Two if its products, the HP Officejet Pro 8000 Printer Series and HP Officejet Pro 8500 AiO Series, were deemed exceptional performers and chosen as BLI “Pick” winners.

ASUS Donates Computers to Public School through ADOC 2.0

Nine hundred high school students from Dr. Arcadio Santos High National High School – Sun Valley Annex in Paranaque City will be enjoying learning with brand new computers from ASUS, one of the largest computer manufacturers.

Asus Foundation, an organization fully funded by the computer giant, donated forty (40) computer sets to the Sun Valley E-learning Digital Center as well as twenty (20) Eee PCs for the mobile education truck in Paombong, Bulacan. This is part of the second phase of Taiwan’s Apec Digital Opportunity Center (ADOC) Project called ADOC 2.0 and was launched with the opening of the Sun Valley E-learning Center last July 9, 2009.

HP Extends Environmental Leadership with New Technology to Save Customers Money

HP announced several additions to its HP Eco Solutions program, including new products, services and operations, as well as company-wide environmental goals.

The expanded portfolio provides consumers, small and medium businesses, and enterprises – including HP – with a clear return on investment through financial savings, as well as a “return on environment” through energy, carbon and waste savings.

Red Fox Unveils New Notebooks

Red Fox Technologies recently released a new model for their Wizbook line, the Red Fox Wizbook N1020i, made available in yellow, green, pink, red, and black, as well as the full-scale Red Fox RN740J and the Red Fox RN766JU aimed towards everyday computing and gaming, respectively.

The Red Fox Wizbook N1020i is the newest addition to the brand’s growing lineup of netbooks, fitted with 10.2-inch TFT LCD displays, 1GB DDR2 667 memory, 160GB or 250GB HDD, 802.11 b/g wireless LAN, and an SD/MMC/MS card reader, along with the option of upgrading to 2GB memory. The N1020i also takes advantage of Bluetooth technology by incorporating Bluetooth ver. 3.0, which gives data rates of up to 480 Mbits compared to 3 Mbits that Bluetooth ver 2.0 can offer. But getting things done quickly is not the only benefit of using high-speed Bluetooth: it also reduces power consumption, which then translates to longer battery life. Versatility is enjoyed via the Express Card / 34 slot, which supports Firewire 800, SATA external disk drives, solid-state drives, Wi-Fi interface cards, TV tuner cards, additional memory, memory card readers, external graphics cards, and modems. The inclusion of an integrated 1.3 low-light webcam also allows photos and videos to be taken even under low-light conditions without compromising quality.
