LCD turns Green: AOC 36 Series

Registered products are rated Gold, Silver or Bronze depending on the percentage of 28 optional criteria they meet above the baseline criteria. Low energy consumption
AOC Monitors require low energy consumption; it offers premium picture quality for graphics-intensive applications. These competitively priced high performance monitors have unique external design, framing the screen in a glossy piano black finish with sea shell texture and seamless controls to maintain the elegantly smooth exterior design.

When switched to Power Saving mode, the monitor only uses 50% of the power, this without affecting image quality and saving up to 104,000W per year. Industry Analysts and Customers Recognize HP’s Managed Print Services

HP has announced that industry analyst firm Gartner, Inc. placed HP in the Leaders Quadrant in its Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services (MPS).

HP believes this placement, coupled with the latest multifunction printer (MFP) market share standings and customer adoption, demonstrates its ability to provide customers with a robust MPS offering that delivers continued cost savings and increased productivity in the office.

In the Gartner Magic Quadrant report, HP was evaluated on “completeness of vision” as well as its “ability to execute.” According to the report, Gartner classifies leaders as “providing MPS to a wide range of customers, including the largest and most geographically dispersed, so they must demonstrate a truly global reach. They must demonstrate not only the skills to deliver today’s MPS, but also the understanding, initiative and resources to prepare for tomorrow’s. SMART launches SMART Mobile DeveloperConference and Competition

Leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) partners with HTC in bringing together mobile application developers, though the SMART Mobile Developer Conference, on 11 September 2009 at the Science Discovery Center, at the SM Mall of Asia.

The SMART Mobile Developer Conference features Google’s latest mobile platform Android(tm). The whole-day conference aims to encourage the Philippine mobile developer community to become Android(tm) experts by exchanging knowledge and sharing their experiences and tools in developing mobile applications for Android.

DepEd chief commends Metrobank’s outstanding teachers

“It is the teachers time to shine now.”

Zoilo Pinongcos, Jr. of Leganes National High School in Leganes, Iloilo shared this as he was honored as one of the ten awardees of 2009 Metrobank Foundation’s Search for Outstanding Teachers (SOT).

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo conferred gold medallions to Pinongcos and the nine other awardees at Malacañang Palace yesterday.
Education Secretary Jesli Lapus lauded the annual Search as it institutionalizes the giving of award to the best and brightest in the teaching profession.

He added, “It is a great motivation to the many teachers whose dedication and commitment usually go beyond the call of duty.”
This year’s awardees for the elementary level are: Lourdes Matan of Mag-Ubay Elementary School in Calbayog City; Gemma Cortez of Dasmariñas Elementary School in Dasmariñas, Cavite; Benjamin Martinez of San Sebastian Elementary School in Tarlac City; and Eva Imingan of Nellie E. Brown Elementary School in Olongapo City.
