HP Claims Success Against Counterfeit Printing Supplies in Manila

HP announced the seizure of over 24,000 counterfeit HP products, packaging, and security labels. This seizure was conducted by local authorities at various production facilities in Valenzuela and Pio del Pilar. In addition to the seizure of these counterfeit goods, two individuals were detained pending a criminal investigation by authorities.

HP’s global anti-counterfeit program incorporates industry-leading anti-counterfeiting practices and partners with law enforcement agencies to combat the manufacture, distribution, and sale of counterfeit HP printer cartridges.

Survey: GFC Leaves Asian Data Centre Market in Bearish Mood

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, has published the latest results of its half-yearly Market Pulse survey of data centre and infrastructure management professionals in Asia, showing the effects of the global financial crisis (GFC) could last longer than expected in the region.

The key findings from the survey of several hundred senior executives – 52 per cent of which were from Southeast Asia – shows that the early signs of a weakening project pipeline, first highlighted in the August 2009 report, have lead to a conservative outlook for the rest of the year from most respondents. For the first time in the history of the survey, the number of projects completed outpaced the projects forecast, indicating that industry executives are in a bearish mood in their planning, despite reports in the media that the worst of the GFC is over.

Lenovo has announced that TBR has ranked the company #1 in its Corporate IT Buying Behavior and Customer Satisfaction Studies for commercial laptops and desktops for 3Q and 4Q 2009. The reports recognize Lenovo’s ability to deliver high quality ThinkPad laptops, ThinkCentre desktops and services to large business customers. TBR also highlighted Lenovo’s strong customer satisfaction for product repair time and phone technical support.
