28 May

Globe Business joined the Philippine delegation in the 18th National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) India Leadership Forum held in Mumbai, India. The event garnered more than 1,600 participants from all over the world.

Guided by ‘New Times, New Ideas, New Directions’ as its theme, the forum brought together experts who gave valuable insights on the current condition of global economy and what it would entail to reach the next level of progress.

Among the notable speakers were Mr. Anamitra Roy, CIO of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Allana Sons; Mr. David A. J. Smith, CEO and Global Head of HSBC Global Technology; Mr. Bharat Desai, chairman and founder of Syntel, Inc.; and Natarajan Chandrasekaran, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services. Further, the forum highlighted the key issues and challenges that IT-BPO companies are likely to face as they recover from the financial downturn of the two previous years.

During the event, Globe Business’ delegates met a number of international IT companies and BPO operators and shared the Philippines’ edge in the field of offshoring and outsourcing. The country’s rich talent pool, voice BPO advantage, and competitive labor and infrastructure costs make it one of the top BPO destinations. Globe Business supports the growth of the country’s O&O industry by providing world-class infrastructure and through its continued investments in the prime BPO locations.
