LANDesk Will Become an Independent Company; Agreement Allows LANDesk to Strengthen its Leadership Position in Simplifying IT Management

LANDesk Software, a global leader in systems lifecycle management, endpoint security and IT service management, recently announced that Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity investment firm, has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase LANDesk Software from Emerson.

The move aims to accelerate LANDesk’s revenue growth and solidify its leadership position in delivering an integrated portfolio for simplifying the management of desktops, servers and mobile devices across the full spectrum of an organization’s IT environment.

Wilcon Builders Depot Goes Live with Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System

Lawson Software announced that Wilcon Builders Depot in the Philippines has gone live on the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System. The company is now using Lawson Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Financial Management, Manufacturing Operations and Enterprise Asset Management suites along with other applications in the Lawson M3 system.

Wilcon Builders Depot decided to implement Lawson M3 Enterprise solutions to further support expansion plans of opening an average four stores annually.

Globe Business backs Peoplelink

PeopleLink recently signed an agreement with Globe Business for an innovative communications solution that targets the seafaring community in the country. According to PeopleLink President Norman Carcellar, the community requires an effective mobile solution to connect seafarers to their loved ones and to their manning agencies in the Philippines .

“There is a need for a special prepaid family SIM whose expiration date can be extended easily, and if the SIM is lost or damaged, the user should be able to retain the same number,” explained Mr. Carcellar. PeopleLink also needs a solution that is supported by an affordable and flexible platform where messages can be reliably exchanged.
