Leading global financial services firm JPMorgan Chase & Co. has announced the appointment of Karen Batungbacal De Venecia as Senior Country Operations Officer.
In this role, Batungbacal De Venecia will oversee the Global Service Center in the Philippines. She will report directly to Jack Jones in the United States, and to Roberto Panlilio in the Philippines. “Karen will be responsible for executing against our growth plans for the Philippine Global Service Center, and continuing the leadership agenda that we are building in the country,” JPMorgan Chase & Co. Senior Country Officer Roberto Panlilio said.
Batungbacal De Venecia assumes the Senior Country Operations Officer role from Barry Marshall, who has completed his expatriate term with great success and has returned to New York to assume a new strategic role with the firm’s Investment Bank.

We will continue to fine-tune our Philippines operations over the coming months under Karen’s leadership,” said Jack Jones, JPMorgan Chase & Co. Operations Executive for Corporate Global Solutions.
Prior to this appointment, Batungbacal De Venecia was President of ICT Group Philippines, a leading publicly traded U.S.-based global provider of customer management and related marketing, technology and business process outsourcing (BPO) services. Previously, she held leadership positions with C-Cubed, Citibank, Bayantel, and American President Lines.
She has an undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a masters degree in the same field from Princeton University.
