Globe Tattoo, the mobile broadband brand of Globe Telecom, was cited as one of the top 28 Philippine brands by London-based Superbrands.

“We are honored with this citation for Globe Tattoo because it speaks volumes of our commitment to product quality and excellence,” said Manuel Escosa, Marketing Head of Globe Tattoo. “This recognition further drives us to provide our customers with internet services that are fast, reliable, and affordable.”
Launched in February 2009, Globe Tattoo changed the face of broadband services as an edgy new brand that value individualism and self-expression. The brand boasted an array of hip USB designs inspired by tribal prints and colorful patterns with offers that hinged on youth interests such as gaming, music and fashion. The success of Globe Tattoo led the achievement of Globe Broadband’s 1 Million subscribers in September this year, with almost 90% increase in revenues from last year’s performance.
Superbrands aims to identify brands that perform above other brands within their respective categories and target markets. Present in over 80 countries worldwide, the selection of Superbrands is led by an independent and voluntary council called the Superbrands Council, which comprises experts and practitioners in the branding and marketing communications industry assigned in each country where Superbrands has presence.
Apart from council, the opinion of thousands of consumers is sought via a partnership with YouGov, an online research agency. Brands that are rated highly by both the council and consumers are eligible for inclusion in a Superbrands project based on the following criteria: market dominance, longevity, goodwill, customer loyalty and market acceptance.
The only international award giving-body for brands in the Philippines, Superbrands is recognized as the leading independent arbiter of brands. It was founded in 1994 in London, United Kingdom. All 28 Superbrands will be featured in the upcoming Superbrands Philippines edition, the Superbrands Philippines Volume VI. The publication will showcase the best qualities and standards in Filipino branding to the international community. All the brands listed in all the past editions have seen great returns in terms of profit, a bigger customer base as well as wider awareness of their brand since acquiring the said citation.
