Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) said its PIXMA inkjet dominated the inkjet printer category with a 35% overall market share from January to June 2011.
According to research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), Canon PIXMA led the single function printer category with a 43% market share, and got 28% share in the multifunction inkjet printer segment, making PIXMA the country’s number one printer brand for the first half of 2011.
During the period, Canon PIXMA iP 2770 was the top selling single function printer in the market. The PIXMA iP2772 and PIXMA MP258 All-in-One Printer were also among the top selling products.
“We are grateful to consumers for choosing Canon PIXMA,” said Jill Santiago, CMPI marketing manager for consumer systems products. “Apart from promos and service, Canon PIXMA has always been the top-of-mind printer brand because it prints crisp, realistic photos and documents at very competitive costs.”
Santiago said sales of PIXMA further increased owing to Canon’s Best of Times promo in which customers get a free ODM watch for every purchase of a printer and ink.
