Smart Bro prepaid load now available via mobile banking

Broadband subscribers of wireless leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and its subsidiary Smart Broadband, Inc. now have a more convenient way to buy load for their prepaid Smart Bro Plug-It, through Smart’s Mobile Banking Service (MBS).

Smart’s MBS offers bank customers the convenience of doing a wide range of bank transactions such as balance inquiry, fund transfer, bills payments, Smart Money Reloading, and prepaid reloading through their cellphone. It is offered by the telco leader in partnership with the country’s biggest banks and bank networks.

Globe mobile advertising service powers McCafe campaign

Globe Telecom and its mobile advertising partner, Out There Media (OTM), announced that its permission-based mobile advertising (m-ads) platform My Rewards, My Globe Plus have already signed up over two million opt-in subscribers since launching in November last year.

“This is another milestone for Globe as we continue to explore new revenue streams to sustain the growth of our business as well as drive innovation in the telecoms market,” said Minette Navarrete, Head for New Business of Globe. “We are pleased with the success of our mobile advertising platform as evidenced by our growing subscriber base.”

Nissan Ranks Highest in New-Vehicle Sales Satisfaction in the Philippines

New-vehicle sales satisfaction has increased in the Philippines after two consecutive years of declines that were caused by rapid sales growth and increased customer expectations, according to the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2011 Philippines Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study.

Now in its 11th year, the study measures new-vehicle owner satisfaction with the sales and delivery experience in seven key factors that contribute to overall satisfaction. In order of importance, they are: delivery process; delivery timing; salesperson; paperwork; deal; sales initiation; and dealer facility.

Lenovo Helps SMBs Achieve Competitiveness through Technology

The small and medium business (SMB) market will continue to fuel the growth of the Philippine economy this year. According to the Department of Trade and Industry, the government’s goal is to increase the contribution of the SMB sector to 40 percent of GDP (from 32 percent in 2006), with 2 million employed in the SME sector by 2016.
