Top call center and outsourcing services provider TELUS International Philippines (TIP) has signed a new partnership with Asia Pacific College (APC) for TELUS International University (TIU).
TIP and APC formalized their partnership with a ceremonial memorandum of agreement signing at TELUS Market! Market!, Taguig City. The event was attended by TIP president Jeff Uthoff, APC president Dr. Paulino Tan, top officials of APC and the TIU team.
“This is another exciting partnership for TIP,” said the company’s president Jeff Uthoff. “TIU is a revolutionary approach to learning and career development that is indicative of our culture here at TELUS. Our partnership with APC helps to ensure greater success for the future of our company, as well as our team members. We are very grateful to APC for helping us widen the reach of this unique opportunity.”
According to Dr. Tan, it was not difficult to decide this was the right partnership at the right time. He said, “As an educational institution, one of our goals is to look out for partnerships that can help us ensure our curriculum is innovative for our students. When TELUS came to us with the proposal, we were interested right away.”
APC carefully selected faculty members who will conduct classes in TELUS House Araneta and Market! Market!. APC will offer TIU students business management and information technology courses, two of the best programs APC runs.
TIU is an innovative program that provides an opportunity for team members to earn college degrees in various fields whilst concurrently working full-time. TIP offers classes at reduced costs and provides classrooms, library, books, computers and other educational equipment on the company premises for the students to use, making college education more affordable and accessible for its team members.
