PBSP supports Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Philippines 2012

Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) signed a memorandum of agreement last 28 February 2012 to support Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Philippines 2012.

The Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 is managed by the SGV Foundation, Inc. with this year’s theme, Passion.

The search is open for all Filipino Entrepreneurs who may join the following award categories: Master Entrepreneur, Small Business Entrepreneur, Industry-Specific Entrepreneur, Woman Entrepreneur, and Social Entrepreneur. The Entrepreneur of the Year will be chosen from the award categories winners, and will be representing the country in the World Entrepreneur of the Year in Monte Carlo, Monaco in June 2013.

Moving startups to successful technopreneurs, Globe incubator to support aspiring businesses

Taking off from the highly successful Startup Weekend Manila last October 2011, leading telecommunications company Globe Telecom is setting up a first-in-the-Philippines incubator focused on helping aspiring technopreneurs launch their own businesses.

This is a unique way of reaching out to tech startup communities and getting them off to a faster start, and a better trajectory. While this project has access to the “big company” resources that an enterprise like Globe would have, it has an independent mandate and the soft touch grassroots community focus necessary for supporting the Philippines’ bourgeoning startup ecosystem. The Globe incubator will partner with aspiring technopreneurs by building an end-to-end support system that marries the ‘hardware’ of big companies with the ‘software’ of mentorship and community partnership.

MVP launches IdeaSpace for ‘Technopreneurs’

First Pacific Company Limited (First Pacific) Managing Director and Chief Executive Manuel V. Pangilinan recently announced the launch of IdeaSpace, a multimillion dollar program that will help Filipino entrepreneurs develop groundbreaking technologies, and transform these into successful commercial products.

IdeaSpace will act as an incubator and accelerator program to support technology entrepreneurs in the Philippines and for the global market through partnerships between the MVP Group of companies and global IT companies. The seed fund being invested will be augmented with parallel activities for mentorship, resources, and support.

IP-Converge launches ‘future proof’ fiber optic technology at Arya Residences

Power Mac Center wins an Anvil for ‘Arcadium’ game apps tournament

Power Mac Center (PMC), a chain of the most reliable retail shops and service providers of Apple products and premium accessories in the country, won an Anvil for its customer relationship program dubbed “Arcadium” at the recently concluded Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP)’s 47th Anvil Awards.

Entered in partnership with PMC’s communication partner, CID, Inc., the Arcadium App Arcade Tournament won under the Public Relations Program Directed at Specific Stakeholder category of the prestigious annual competition that recognized outstanding public relations programs implemented in the Philippines in the previous year.
