Being handpicked to represent the country is a rare privilege only the best and the brightest enjoy. Each year, young achievers in the field of science and engineering are given the opportunity to share the fruits of their research with a global audience. Given the unparalleled prestige of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), the premier international science competition for students in grades 9 – 12, those who make the cut are undoubtedly worth their salt.
Driven by a shared vision to create awareness of prevalent social, ecological and economic issues, eight of the Philippines’ best students were chosen to represent the country at the 2012 Intel ISEF. The students will compete in two team categories and two individual categories in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 13-18.
