IP-Converge partners with Appcore (US) to bring new Cloud offering to PH business

15 May

Internet data center operator and cloud services provider IP-Converge, recently announced its partnership with US-based Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) company Appcore, to deliver cloud hosting services in the country and the region out of its telco-grade, carrier-neutral data center facility.

The solution is a secure, virtual facility that provides IT departments with the hosted environment required to develop and run proprietary or licensed business applications. It incorporates hardware, software, networking, and support into a single integrated system providing Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as-a-Service — the first of its kind in the Philippines.

“Our alliance with Appcore further expands our cloud offerings to meet the demand for enterprise applications that help reduce cost and increase efficiency in today’s challenging business landscape”, comments Reynaldo Huergas, President, IP-Converge. “We are proud to be the first provider in the Philippines to go to market with this solution powered by our state-of-the-art carrier-neutral Internet data center facility.”

Edgar R. Gutierrez, IP-Converge VP for Carrier Relations and Special Projects says: “With Appcore, we are able to provide small and medium enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to take advantage of the same reliable business applications used by large enterprises for their own operations, but at minimal and manageable cost, all in the IP-Converge cloud.”

Our services range from virtual server hosting, to various enterprise cloud applications ranging from HR and Financial programs to other office productivity tools, all with flexible pricing schemes that allow the usual monthly subscriptions or even hourly plans if necessary, which is great news for companies requiring their own disaster recovery programs or short-term application testing environments. In addition, the solution features online payment options, eliminating the need for paper transactions being a true cloud service”, Gutierrez adds.

Per hour charging and online payment options are a first for any similar product currently being offered locally. According to Appcore, the Philippine market is undergoing a rapid increase in demand for affordable cloud-computing solutions.

Brian Patrick Donaghy, CEO of Appcore said: “Appcore’s cloud platform offerings are unique – as we are the only manufacturer in the industry to combine infrastructure, software services, and automated provisioning as a business solution. We deliver the business of cloud through this integrated suite, helping service providers to speed time-to-market and revenue with a platform of resources and applications to use and a portfolio from which they can sell. We are very happy to be working with the world class IP-Converge team to enable cloud services to the entire region.”

With its highly-customizable cloud platform, Appcore enables IP-Converge to meet their corporate initiatives of delivering premium-quality cloud services and a personalized approach to their customer base.

“This cloud solution is hosted in our own data center and utilizes our robust carrier-neutral network infrastructure” says Gutierrez. “And because our network is peered with all major domestic telecommunications providers, users will experience high-speed access to their virtual servers and applications, ensuring unhampered operations in their own secure private cloud, regardless of which Internet provider or telco they are subscribed to.”
