Ericsson Telecommunications Inc., Smart Communications and the Philippine Army’s 51st Engineering Brigade recently joined hands to support the Pateros National High School (PNHS) for the school’s clean-up and maintenance drive under the Brigada Eskwela 2012 program.

Ericsson provided wood from its packaging materials to be made into desks and for the repair of the school. Apart from providing repair materials and tools, however, all of the partners in the project fielded their respective employee-volunteers to help the students, parents and faculty members of PNHS do repair and maintenance work for the school’s facilities.

“We are very grateful to have Ericsson, the Philippine Army and Smart as partners for Brigada Eskwela. Knowing that these organizations have taken notice of our needs, and will be contributing not just materials but more importantly their time and services for the upkeep of our facilities is truly a blessing for PNHS,” said school principal Dra. Norma Gacusan.

A nationwide campaign of DepEd, Brigada Eskwela is a week-long clean up and maintenance activity that aims to prepare public schools for the opening of classes in June.
