Mustard Seed Systems Corporation, a company set up in 1999 mainly to distribute and sell off-the-shelf accounting and point-of-sale software in the Philippines and currently a channel partner of SAP for software license, recently became a SAP Education partner, living up to its promise to spread SAP education far and wide.

Today, given its inherent advantage of lower cost and fast and easy implementation compared to customized systems, Mustard Seed’s off-the-shelf accounting software has become hugely popular among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Philippines, thus helping the company grow its install base to some 6,000 corporations.

Mustard Seed’s singular success has also made it a SAP education partner, which seals the former’s reputation as a one-stop shop for SMEs. “We have proven that we truly understand the needs of SMEs by the success of SAP Business OneStarter Package sales in the Philippines,” says Judith Adao, Mustard Seed sales manager. “We now offer more value not only to SMEs but also to individuals who want to build their careers and be more competitive.”

Mustard Seed’s facilities had been SAP-ready, so that achieving partnership status with SAP took only three months. Adao says, “Prior to our appointment, SAP Business One trainings were only concentrated in Manila. But now, with the launch of our academies in eight locations, we are very excited to announce that everybody has the opportunity to learn the world’s best application program.”

These academies, all run by SAP-certified professionals, are now in Shaw Boulevard, Alabang, and Quezon Avenue in Metro Manila; Cebu, Iloilo, and Bacolod in the Visayas; and Davao and Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao.

As a SAP education partner, Mustard Seed can now offer complete training to its existing install base of Sap Business One and all its resellers. It also positively impacts the company’s business, given the big market for training, “starting from professionals who want to make a career shift, to students taking up Information Technology and Accountancy, as well as other business management courses, who want to prepare for a better future,” according to Adao.

Mustard Seed is looking forward to shortly offering other courses like Business Objects and SAP All-in-One.
SAP Education provides training tailored to individual requirements, including classroom and consultant training, e-learning, on-site training, or fully customized programs. It is a fully featured training system, including sample data typical of a given industry that is ideal way for new users to familiarize themselves with SAP solutions. SAP provides the infrastructure, content, and the training itself, as well certification for consultants and users.

The benefits of SAP Education include the advantage of SAP Education’s expertise, which comes straight from the experts; increased competitiveness by augmenting the skills of the employees; reduction in total cost of ownership; rapid return on investment, as solutions are implemented quickly and effectively; acquisition of the skills and knowledge needed to tackle even the most challenging projects; the benefit of worldwide education from a single source; and the edge of proven teaching methods and tools.
