Power Mac Center (PMC) celebrates another milestone after its main service center in Northeast Square, Greenhills, San Juan, Metro Manila recently became an Apple Premium Service Provider (APSP), the first and only one in the country to achieve such feat.
The Apple Premium Service Provider authorization is given to an elite list of companies all over the globe that meet Apple’s stringent service standards and commit to delivering a consistently high-level quality repair experience to Apple customers.
Jayme Laguio, technical service director of PMC Service Center said the recognition given to them is very important because making it to the roster of Apple’s APSPs is the culmination of all their hard work and a testament to their successful teamwork.
“It’s a proud moment for us to be placed in a prestigious category. Before being named as an APSP, PMC had to hurdle all the requirements included in Apple’s stringent checklist for such accreditation,” Laguio said.
One of these is that the PMC’s pool of engineers have to become Apple Certified Macintosh Technicians.
These engineers also have to meet certain criteria set by Apple’s Service Excellence Scoring to ensure that high technical proficiency is maintained. The engineers would then be measured on their technical proficiency through their performance and customer satisfaction (CSAT).
Notably, PMC also transferred the main service center to a larger space in a more convenient location at the center of the busy Greenhills’ commercial district at the 2nd level of Northeast Square at 47 Connecticut St. in Northeast Greenhills.
The service center, which operates from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday to Saturday, currently – has a 48 percent share in the Apple repairs market, that is, combining the contribution of all PMC’s Apple Service Providers such as Northeast Square Greenhills, Greenbelt, TriNoma, Abreeza Mall and Festival Mall. This market share makes PMC the country’s largest service provider of Apple products such as Macs, iPads and iPods throughout the country, regardless of the store where unit was purchased. iPhones, on the other hand, are being serviced by the telco providers as per agreement with Apple.
Joey Alvarez, PMC Marketing Director, added, “To maintain its APSP status, PMC-Northeast Square’s service team is dedicated to ensure that they satisfy its customers all the time with great turn-around time and over-all customer experience. For customers, it’s their seal of guarantee that it is the place where they can get the best advice and repair options for their units, and that Apple products are very well taken care of by certified Apple technicians.”
