Smart tops Anvil anew

For the second year, Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) dominated the Anvil Awards, receiving a total of 14 awards for initiatives in the areas of brand communication, digital communication, disaster preparedness and response, education, environment, health, human resources, livelihood and technopreneurship. In 2012, Smart also topped the Anvil Awards with 31 awards–making it the first company to achieve such a feat in Anvil history.

At the 48th Anvil Awards held recently, the mobile leader garnered seven excellence awards and seven merit awards. Smart’s excellence awards are for the following:Live More, Smart’s multi-platform brand campaign that emphasizes the importance of reliable communication services; the Live More television commercial; Live Well, Live More, its holistic employee wellness program; Project NOAH or Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazardsmobile, an android app of DOST’s website for disaster prevention and mitigation; Project SHINE or Secured Health Information Network and Exchange, Smart’s flagship mHealth project that aims to raise the efficiency of healthcare facilities through mobile and ICT technologies; Project Zero,anupcycling and livelihood collaboration with lifestyle designer PJ Arañador which promotes the use of zero electricity, zero carbon-emissions and results in zero unemployment; and S@FE.ph, a campaign that taps the power of the internet and social media to help people prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.

Dubbed as the Oscars of Public Relations in the Philippines, the Anvil is given annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) to outstanding public relations programs and tools that reflect and promote public interest, good values, and genuine service to the community and society.
