To assist passengers expected to flock the bus terminals in the week leading to the Holy Week break, budget prepaid brand Talk ‘N Text announced that it is giving away free bus tickets to select Luzon destinations.
Starting March 21 until March 27, Holy Wednesday, Talk ‘N Text will be at the JAC Liner – Solid North bus terminal in Cubao, Quezon City and Jam Liner in Buendia, Pasay City to extend the free transport service to its subscribers.
“Summer and Holy Week usually are among the peak travel seasons and bus terminals can become so crowded,” said Jane Basas, prepaid group head for leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart). “Because we value our subscribers and understand their needs, we are joining them and giving them these little surprises and panalo moments as they hit the road this Lenten season.”
‘Libreng Sakay’ is just one of the programs for Talk ‘N Text’s Araw-araw Panalo campaign that aims to provide araw-araw panalo experiences to its millions of users.
To get the free tickets, Talk ‘N Text subscribers only need to load up their SIMs in the designated booths in the participating terminals. A P30 top-up entitles subscriber to a ticket worth P100 and below. Loading P100 can be used to redeem a ticket worth P101 to P300, and for tickets worth P301 to P500, a P300 load is required.
Non-Talk ‘N Text subscribers can avail of the free ticket by purchasing a Talk ‘N Text SIM on site and loading the required amount.
Loading and ticket claiming will be from 3pm to 5pm on the dates mentioned. Tickets will be honored only in the terminal where they are claimed. These tickets are for outgoing trips only (Metro Manila terminal to the provincial destination). Only one ticket per Talk ‘N Text subscriber is allowed.
JAC Liner-Solid North in Cubao offers trips to Pangasinan, Tarlac, and Pampanga while the Jam Liner in Pasay offers trips to Southern Luzon destinations like Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon.
“We’re doing this after last year’s successful run of the Talk ‘N Text Libreng Sakay in LRT stations,” said Basas. “Our subscribers, especially those who travel to Visayas and Mindanao can watch out for other Libreng Sakay efforts which we plan to do soon in partnership with ferries and airlines.”
