Globe Telecom is the only Philippine telecommunications-provider recognized as one of the top finalists in the European-MENA awards for the Telecom Provider of the Year category alongside some of the best brands in Asia.
Organized by the one of the most prestigious publications in the region, The European – MENA Awards aims to honor organizations and individuals that take the lead in their industries, consequently moving them forward.
The awards also aim to identify the companies and organizations that surpass standards of quality in their respective fields. The European’s Asia Awards highlight the excellence and the business practices that ought to serve as a model for businesses across the world.
“Our nomination in this prestigious award acknowledges our focus in providing better products and services, which in turn, has driven record high subscriber acquisitions. With the completion of our network transformation program within the year, the company can only be expected to deliver utmost customer satisfaction,” said Globe Telecom President and CEO Ernest Cu.
Winners will be announced early May.
In 2012, Globe Telecom set new records, moved closer to superior customer experience, and marched steadfastly towards long-term competitiveness amid implementation of its transformation program. Service revenues reached a new record high of PHP82.7 billion, a 6% rise from a year earlier, reflecting tremendous growth despite a very challenging competitive environment.
Globe Telecom also recently completed the first phase of network transformation which involves a complete change-out of equipment. Additional areas have also been identified for the company’s network transformation in tandem with planned expansion of its fourth-generation coverage footprint.
A few months back, Globe Telecom was also named CNET Asia Readers Choice Awards’ Best Telco in the Philippines, as well as Frost & Sullivan’s Philippines Telecom Service Provider and Broadband Service Provider of the year.
