Google brings two cutting-edge technology conferences to the Philippines and sponsors app developer challenge

As part of ongoing effort to support technology innovation in the Philippines, Google will host our first annual g|Philippines event in Manila from August 3-4, 2012.

Day 1 will be for marketers, webmasters, and entrepreneurs, with a focus on technical and non-technical presentations on Google products. Day 2 will be for university students and faculty, with a focus on Google-sponsored university programs and internships. And g|Philippines isn’t just about Google—Google also wants to showcase Pinoy talent. If one has created or built something cool using a Google product, that person can tell Google about it while registering and might get the chance to present at g|Philippines!

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Lionsgate Bring Exclusive Access to “The Hunger Games” Movie Content

Microsoft and Liongsgate, in partnership with leading design and developer agencies theNerdery and Ignition Interactive, will be bringing fans of Suzanne Collins’ widely popular novel series, The Hunger Games, a one-of-a-kind experience with the launch of the The Capital Tour, an immersive companion site to the movie that extends the film to the web and includes exclusive content from director Gary Ross and the movie itself.

Filipinos can now tap into the HTML5-powered Hunger Games companion site, showcasing a tour of the Capitol in Panem and offering fans exclusive content and experiences to prepare them for the movie’s premiere on March 23.
