Smart Money free remittance launched for OFWs in KSA

Filipinos based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can send remittances to the Philippines for free on Sunday, September 23, via Smart Money and its Middle East remittance partner, the National Commercial Bank (NCB).

The free service is being offered as part of National Day celebrations in Saudi Arabia. Smart Money and NCB also waived remittance charges last June 12 as an Independence Day gift to Filipinos.

Smart Money launches double-your-remittance promo, gives free int’l SMS

Getting money from loved ones abroad through Smart Money, the country’s first and largest electronic wallet service, is now doubly rewarding.

Recipients of international remittances sent via Smart Money from now until August 15 will get P150 worth of international texts plus a chance to win a cash prize equal to twice the amount sent by their relatives or friends abroad.

Each remittance ranging from P4,000 to P10,000 will earn the recipient one raffle entry in Smart Money’s Doble Todo Panalo promo. Smart bags 3 Asian awards

Smart won three major awards from a prestigious Hong Kong-based telecoms industry publication. In ceremonies held in Bangkok Wednesday, Smart President and CEO Napoleon L. In an unprecedented performance, mobile phone leader Smart Communications won three major awards from an influential Asian telecommunications industry magazine in Bangkok on Wednesday.

At the 15th Telecom Asia Awards, Smart was cited as the Best Emerging Market Carrier, its President and CEO Napoleon L. Nazareno was selected Telecom CEO of the Year and its pioneering mHealth program called SHINE or the Shared Health Information and Network Exchange won the Best Community Telecom Project. Smart calls on public to give to ‘Baha Fund’

Leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) is encouraging people to send help to those affected by typhoons Pedring and Quiel by making donations to Baha Fund.

The two typhoons that consecutively pounded most of Luzon left several towns flooded and without electricity, food, water and shelter. Proceeds of the Baha Fund will be forwarded to the TV5 Foundation to help augment and speed up its relief operations in hard-hit places in Metro Manila and the provinces.

Smart Bro prepaid load now available via mobile banking

Broadband subscribers of wireless leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and its subsidiary Smart Broadband, Inc. now have a more convenient way to buy load for their prepaid Smart Bro Plug-It, through Smart’s Mobile Banking Service (MBS).

Smart’s MBS offers bank customers the convenience of doing a wide range of bank transactions such as balance inquiry, fund transfer, bills payments, Smart Money Reloading, and prepaid reloading through their cellphone. It is offered by the telco leader in partnership with the country’s biggest banks and bank networks.
