Redfox conquers Computex 2012

REDFOX, the global Filipino I.T. hardware solutions company showcased its innovative products in its very own booth in Computex, the largest I.T. show in the world held yearly in Taiwan last June 05 to 09, 2012.

The booth, with the theme “Legacy, Forthwith, Inevitable”, exhibited the company’s history of innovation through products that were first in the market. One such product was the PC Terminator, launched in 1994. It is a CPU housed in a space-saving, slim casing that also served as the keyboard.

Chrome now available in Beta for Ice Cream Sandwich phones and tablets

Google launches today Chrome for Android Beta. As always, it continues to bring many preferred features and apps of Chrome to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phones or tablets. Like the desktop version, Chrome for Android Beta is focused on speed and simplicity, but it also features seamless sign-in and sync so web experience can be personalized with convenience, mobility and accessibility.

With Chrome for Android, you can search, navigate and browse fast—Chrome fast.  You can scroll through web pages as quickly as you can flick your finger. When searching, your top search results are loaded in the background as you type so pages appear instantly. And of course, both search and navigation can all be done quickly from the Chrome omnibox.

Media Tablet Market in APEJ to Hit 10x of 2010 Shipments by 2015

Media tablets will experience a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 54% in Asia/Pacific excluding Japan (APEJ) region, multiplying nearly ten times to 21 million units from 2 million units shipped in 2010. IDC expects more consumers to adopt media tablets to hit gaming, Web-browsing, and social networking needs on the go.

Mature countries like Korea, Australia, and Taiwan are showing high interest in mobile devices like media tablets while China continues to demonstrate high purchasing power for new tech products. Emerging countries in APEJ, like Indonesia and Malaysia by contrast, have more conservative attitudes toward media tablets, and still prefer mininotebooks with better keyboard input and a familiar user experience.
